    Hi there!

It seems your domain is registered with Bluehost, a different hosting company. You can contact them for help with renewing the domain.

To clarify, your site also uses a different version of WordPress called self-hosted WordPress.org. We can help with WordPress.com sites in this forum. There are some differences between WordPress.com and WordPress.org. If you aren’t sure about them, please check the following page that explains it: WordPress.com vs. WordPress.org.

    Hope that helps!

Thank you for that! I tried contacting Bluehost, but they needed me to login to bluehost account to provide a token for us to converse. I don’t know the login. Originally website creator is no longer with us. Should I try creating a Bluehost account and somehow tie it to my website?

I’m afraid that wouldn’t work. Allowing anyone to link one account to another without the password would be a security risk and could potentially lead to unauthorized access to other people’s websites.

However, if you have been paying for the hosting and domain at Bluehost, there may be a way for you to verify ownership and regain access to your account. I would recommend reaching back out to their support team and explaining the issue you’re facing. They should be able to guide you through the process of verifying ownership and renewing the domain.

I understand how frustrating this can be, but I hope this information helps clarify the situation.

I contacted blueHost and was able to get the name of the club member that has the blueHost account. blueHost will send him an email asking to update password which he will pass along to me. I should then be able to login to Bluehost and set up auto-payment. Thanks for all your help!

Mission accomplished! Thanks to everyone that helped. I was able to track down the club member originally associated with the account (from 2010) and successfully updated the bluehost account information so we don’t miss the upcoming renewal period.

  • Awesome, thanks for updating us! o/

We won’t be able to troubleshoot future issues you have but if you’re every looking for a top-notch host to be the next home for your site we’d love to have you! Until then, best of luck with your site and we’re glad we could give you a boost!
