Domain name

  Hi, I’m trying to build a blog, I chose my template and domain name. Nothing came up to tell me that the domain name chasingtara.com was taken, so I picked this domain and chose which upgrade I wanted. I submitted my payment info in and it says the domain name already exists and cannot be registered. Can you please help me out as it was not shown that the name existed, and the site doesn’t direct me anywhere else to check availabilities without having to redo everything first to be told the same thing again.

  Hi Tara,

  The domain chasingtara.com was registered elsewhere (1&1), which is why you were unable to register it through WordPress.com when you created your site.

  Do you own this domain? If you do, you can ‘map’ to your WordPress.com site using Domain Mapping.

  Let me know if you own chasingtara.com or not and then I’ll be able to give you some advice.
