My cancelled domain is parked with automatic. I want to use that domain with wordpress.org

I just found an answer.
Once a domain name is registered, and then gets cancelled, it takes about 3-5 days for the domain to be released back for purchase, which is the reason why you’re unable to proceed normally, yet. -
I found that out too. Apparently it costs $80 to get the domain back, plus $25 to re-register. Is that what you found out too? Let me know if there’s any other way.

I am setting up the domain using SiteGround with wordpress.org
I will proceed with selecting the option “I already have a Domain” and enter the domain that is currently parked, then after the account is confirmed SiteGround will configure me a temporary domain through which I can work.
Then after a few days they will transfer it to the correct domain.
No extra cost whatsoever -

If you’re wanting to use your domain at a different host, you should never cancel it at your current host – once you decide to cancel your domain, there is no guarantee that you will be able to reacquire it in the future. Someone else could gain access to it. Also, it usually takes a three to four weeks for your domain registration to clear and become available once you cancel it. There isn’t an exact time, however, so you’ll be checking consistently to see when it becomes available.
If you want to keep using your domain but you don’t want to use WordPress.com anymore, you don’t have to cancel it. Instead, you can move the domain to another site

If you recently registered the domain, you have to wait 60 days before you are able to transfer your domain to a different host, but in the meantime, you can use the domain with your site by pointing the nameservers over to your new host:

I’ll be happy to contact the registrar to see if we can restore the domain back to your account, but I cannot guarantee that we will be able to get the domain back.

I would love to regain the domain. SiteGround will give me the domain for free once it is available on the market.
What will the extra cost be if you regain the domain instead of me waiting for it to be available?Best Mikkel
