Domain name

  Hi there, I tried changing the domain name of my wordpress site but I am now receiving an error message, 404 not found nginx and it is now linking to an old moonfruit website.

  I’m not sure what the problem is can anyone help?

  What is the domain name?
  Where does your site live (what hosting company do you use)?
  When did you do this?
  Why did you want to do this?

  This is what the URL is coming as,

  http://www.thebookreserve.org/wp-login.php?redirect_to=http%3A%2F%2Fthebookreserve.co%2Fwp-admin%2F&reauth=1

  thebookreserve.co is the domain name.

  It was online wordpress where it was hosted.

  It was about half an hour ago.

  I wanted to change the domain name for .co to .org as we already own this.

  thebookreserve.co is hosted at Bluehost.com
  thebookreserve.org is hosted at GANDI.NET

  I do not see any content at thebookreserve.wordpress.com, so you must have been working on one of the other sites listed above. Hopefully you remember at which of the two you made the change.

  They should be able to help you undo whatever change you made, and be able to assist you in mapping your domain thebookreserve.org to where you want it to go.

  Domain names are particular and tricky beasts. Even though no one at WordPress directly help you with domain issues at other hosting providers, i can point you to a document that helps explain all about domains

  Thanks for the help David, hopefully I’ll get it resolved, worred I’ve lost the work I’ve done.

  That site is not hosted by wordpress.COM and we do not provide support for it as it is not on our servers.

  WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums.
