  does .wordpress have to be in my domain name? is there any way i can remove that and still use word press?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi there,
  Yes there is a way.

  You can register a new Domain via WordPress.COM by upgrading to a Personal, Premium or Business plan. All the plans come with a free credit to register a custom domain like example.com.

  You can register a new domain via third party registrars like GoDaddy, NameCheap, etc. And then map that domain to your WordPress.COM site.

  NOTE: You will need upgrade to a paid plan(Personal, Premium or Business) to be able to map your custom domain to your WordPress site.

  Thanks for the info. I bought my domain from GoDaddy. I will go get the personal package and take care of the name. You both have been very helpful.
