  hi,

  I’m interested in purchasing a domain name. the personal package for 2.50 states i could purchase one, but before i check out after going through all of the steps it say .wordpress.com in the top right of the screen.

  if i purchase a personal package will i still be able to use a personal domain name?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hey there,

  if i purchase a personal package will i still be able to use a personal domain name?

  Yes, you can have a custom domain name for your site if you purchase either of Personal, Premium and Business plan.
  If you opt for free subscription then you will have a sub-domain along with wordpress.com.
  If you purchase any of the upgrade plans you won’t have .wordpress.com appended to your domain name.
