domain name
-
I own the domain name latteart.pro. I want to use WordPress to create my site, but WordPress is creating the domain name latteartdotpro.wordpress.com, which I do not want. I want my domain to remain latteart.pro without anything added to it.
How do I do that?
Thank youThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
I see you were trying to create new site with this latteartdotpro.wordpress.com URL.
You don’t have to do that. You can use your custom domain name with WordPress.com. All you have to do is Domain Mapping.
Refer this link for detailed description on how to do so :
https://en.support.wordpress.com/map-existing-domain/For mapping a domain it’s mandatory to buy an upgraded plan https://wordpress.com/pricing/
Hope that helps.

Thank you for your help.
I completed the steps in your previous email, and my primary domain name (latteart.pro) is now mapped; however, when I try to view my site, I get the following error msg (see below). How do I fix that? Thanks
Content was blocked because it was not signed by a valid security certificate.

Hey,
I can perfectly see your site http://latteart.pro/
So I think this could be a network or browser issue I am not sure.
Refer this link to resolve browser issues : https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/If it still doesn’t work for you then add modlook tag in sidebar to get staff assistance.
Hope that helps.

Although I’ve changed my name servers from the HostGator ones (ns8177.hostgator.com & ns8178.hostgator.com) to the WordPress ones (NS1.WORDPRESS.COM, NS2.WORDPRESS.COM, NS3.WORDPRESS.COM), when I click on latteart.pro, I’m still getting guided to a HostGator admin site!
How do I fix that? Thanks

Hi samardaoud,
when I click on latteart.pro, I’m still getting guided to a HostGator admin site!
It sounds like your browser may have cached the previous name servers. Please clear your browser cache and refresh the page. There are instructions for different browsers here:
Let me know how you get on.

I have my website up and running perfectly, but I can’t get Google to find it. Even when I directly Google the domain name http://www.latteart.pro, Google is not able to find it.
How do I fix that? Do I have to upgrade to the “Business Plan”?
And if so, would I be able to use the same plan to create more than 1 website? Or would I need a separate plan for each separate website?
-
Hey,
WordPress.com takes care of indexing your site with search engines. It may take 4-6 weeks for indexing your site with Google.
Read more about it here :
https://en.support.wordpress.com/search-engines/
You can also register your site with Google to speed up the process. Follow this
https://en.support.wordpress.com/webmaster-tools/Do I have to upgrade to the “Business Plan”?
No, you need not purchase Business plan for your site to show up in Google.
And if so, would I be able to use the same plan to create more than 1 website? Or would I need a separate plan for each separate website?
No. An upgrade plan is dedicated to a particular site. You have to purchase plan again for new websites.
Hope that helps.

Hi samardaoud,
As krutidugade mentioned, it can take 4-6 weeks for your site to appear in search results. However, I checked your site on Google today and one page has been indexed already:
https://www.google.co.uk/?gfe_rd=cr&ei=lWYAWcb3AtTv8Aeun6WICw#q=site:latteart.pro
So it’s just a case of giving search engines time to index your site — especially as it was only created a few days ago. Your site will be indexed regardless of which plan you are using :)

Hi again,
When you say, “You can also register your site with Google to speed up the process,” are you talking about adding a “Meta Tag” to my site?
Cause I already did that and want to know if there are any other steps that I can take to speed up the process of being found on Google.
Thanks again. :-)

@samardaoud
Yes, I was talking about adding a meta tag to verify your site.If you have taken care of it then I would suggest you to wait. As per gemmacevans, one page is indexed already. The rest shall soon be indexed.
