  Why when I requested my domain name as psychotherapycalgary.com did it add it as psychotherapycalgary.wordpress.com? This was why I stopped my registration.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  To use psychotherapycalgary.com you need to upgrade to a paid plan. See https://wordpress.com/plans

  psychotherapycalgary.wordpress.com denotes that you are on the free plan.

  Hello!

  The psychotherapycalgary.com domain is currently available. Like @akumarjain said, you’ll require one of the paid WordPress.com plans which start at $2.99 / month paid annually for the personal plan, and includes a free domain registration.

  Even though you originally start with psychotherapycalgary.wordpress.com, the domain you purchase would hide/replace with the purchased domain.
