  How do I change my url from laptopsandheels.wordpress.com to my new self hosted site, laptopsandheels.com?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  You don’t. You can’t change a WP.com URL into a self-hosted one. You can export your content from here and import it to the external blog and then set the WP.com blog to Private. You can buy a redirect upgrade as well.

  so you have to have a separate monthly host to do so? and this information where it says .com is included is inaccurate?

  1) please only ask a question once. You’ve been answered multiple times.

  2) you have to do BOTH. The export puts your content on the external site, and the redirect means anyone coming to your WP.com URL is automatically sent to your new website. http://en.support.wordpress.com/site-redirect/
