domain name

Howdy,
There is a domain name that i am want but somebody has already taken it. I had a look at the blog and it was created in 2008 and and not one piece of content is put up there. I’ve contacted the user and i am waiting for a reply. But if i don’t get a respond, is there anyway I can obtain the name? Can I get WordPress to delete the blog or something?

No, wordpress never takes blogs away from one blogger to give to another no matter if it is used or not.
Your only hope is if the blogger will contact you and is willing to transfer it to you.

Try offering them money. I have done it for non wordpress domains before, but it’s rare that people answer back. There are still trillions of domains out there available.

Maybe you can alter the name of your desired domain. You can remove all vowels, or turn it into an acronym if the name has multiple words.
