Domain Name

    My domain name is called desigirlaroundtheworld.com, and I’m trying to secure that domain name on Wix. But it’s telling me it’s not available. I thought when the money was refunded, it would be on the market again? Please advise. Thanks!

    Hi @desigirlaroundtheworld, it will go back on the market, but not immediately. It typically takes a few business days for the registrar to release it. They do that so that you can get it back if you change your mind, without someone else registering it before you.

    We don’t have a way on our side to hurry that along. If you’re in a hurry though, we could help you restore the domain to your account here and then point it to your new host. You would need to pay for the registration, and that registration would last a year. If you transfer to your new host, they’ll add another year to its registration.

    Let us know whether you’d like to wait it out (typically about 5 business days) or whether you’d like to restore the registration through us and have us help you point it to your new provider.
