    Hello, how do I release my domain name from WordPress to use on another website? I don’t have access to my WordPress premium account anymore.

    Hi there,

    Are you speaking of bighairbrownies.ca?

    Cancelled domains are not released immediately, and it can take anything from a few days to over a year before a cancelled domain becomes available again, if at all. You should never cancel a domain that you still want to use, as there’s no guarantee that you’ll be able to use it again somewhere else in future. Only cancel a domain if you’re completely sure you no longer want it at all.

    In this case, your domain should become available again towards the middle of next week, at which point you should be able to register it somewhere else.

    Else I can also restore the domain to your WordPress.com account and help you point it to another service if you don’t wish to use it here. As your payment has already been refunded you will have to pay for the domain’s registration again in that case.
