  Hi, I signed up for a paid in full 12 month and within 15 minutes decided the site wasn’t working for me. I cancelled the subscription, but now my domain name is showing unavailable. When will wordpress release the domain name

  Hi,

  After cancellation, there is no guarantee the domain will become available to register somewhere else, and you may not be able to get it back.

  Hi newhomesinsd,

  Cancelling a domain means giving up ownership. As @pandeyabhaykumar mentioned, it’s only something we recommend doing if it won’t be needed in the future.

  Cancelled domains aren’t released straight away as the process takes a few days to complete. Because newhomesinsd.com was cancelled so quickly after registration, it should be released in around 5 days on a first come, first served basis — this will be any day now based on the cancellation date.

  We don’t receive a notification when this happens so I recommend you keep checking to see whether it has become available again.
