  Hello, I’m a beginner and wish to start a travel and food blog. I really don’t know where to start and there’s too much information on start a blog that it’s so confusing. I have registered a domain name with a .ng extension, this is because I reside in Nigeria and that’s my target audience. because I’m just starting out; I’m trying not to incur huge costs on starting the blog, so I was advised to use WordPress. How can I use the name of my registered domain without having to transfer it? do I have to transfer the domain to enable me use WordPress? I would appreciate any advice to help me start blogging. Thanks

  Hi,

  You could either Map your existing domain to WordPress.com site, that way you keep your domain but it loads your WordPress.com site or
  map it as a subdomain https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-subdomain/

  Both options will require purchasing an upgrade plan https://wordpress.com/pricing/
