  I bought my domain name from Go Daddy why do I have to pay you when I already own the domain?

  You pay for domain mapping here if you want to have the name attached to your blog here just like you would pay if you went to another host.

  One note on this – if you buy hosting you pay for the same thing, they just build the cost into the hosting plan, the part where the domain name is matched to a specific blog.

  You are asking for a custom service, I think paying something for it is reasonable, and if you look at what it costs for hosing at other hosts and what you get – pretty good deal I think
