Domain Name

  Hello. I am a new beginner web designer. I work for a non- profit organization that already owns a domain name and has it’s own hosting. I do not want to transfer it to Word Press and I would like to map the domain without moving it from our current registrar. However I don’t know what that means or how to do it.

  If the site is currently hosted elsewhere are you saying you want to move it from its current host and instead be hosted here at WordPress.com? How straightforward that will be depends on if the unnamed site is using the WordPress.org software or some other system. Content will need to be transferred to a new site with an upgraded plan here and then the domain can be mapped to that site.
