    Hello, I tried to set up a page in wordpress and chose an $8/mo plan with a free domain registration for the 1st year. I canceled the plan rightaway and deleted the website. I am trying to register my domain with a different host, but it looks like the WordPress is holding it up as it shows as unavailable. Could you please unlock it so that I can use it with a different host? Thank you

    Hi there,

    You should never cancel a domain if you plan on using it elsewhere as this might render the domain unavailable for quite some time or even allow to a third-party to register it before you do so.

    However, since you canceled it within 24 hours of registration it will be released in about a week and be available for registration again.
