  How do I change my domain name? or URL?

  I do not think you can do that (I may be wrong).
  A suggestion. Open a new blog with the new name, transfer all the data, delete the old one.
  I do not know if it will work, or even if allowed — if the suggestion is a bad one, then a member of the staff can either delete this or put in a contradiction ‘disadvising’ it.

  Hey there @chrissieslot, if you mean you want to change the chrissiesplanet part in your above free WordPressdotcom site address, you can use the change site address utility to do that. https://en.support.wordpress.com/changing-site-address/ When you change your site address using that utility, your stats and followers come along with you, but any social media shares will reset to zero.

  Registering a new site address and exporting and importing your content from the old site to the new one, as @halilac suggested, is definitely an option. Here’s how you can do that.

  Edit a site address

  Since it’s a new site, you’ll need Staff assistance in bringing over your followers from the old WordPressdotcom site to the new one.
