  Hi there,

  My domain name expired recently and I would like to renew it. How should I proceed? How long does it take until the domain name is back on the ‘publc market’? Thanks!

  Hi –

  Are you inquiring about opheliequeffurus.com or a different site?

  I can see that opheliequeffurus.com is in redemption. In order to recover the domain now, we need assistance from our domain partner. They charge an $80 fee for that service. The annual domain registration renewal is $18. The total will be $98.

  Hi there,

  Since we do not have control over when the domain is released, we are unable to tell you a definitive date on which the domain will be released. However, redemption period lasts about thirty and then there is a holding period of about 5 days before the domain is ultimately released back to the public. So, I would keep checking around that time to see if the domain becomes available again.

  I’ve sent you a link via email to pay for the domain’s recovery. When we receive your payment, we can email our domain provider to restore the domain. That process takes about 48 hours.

  I just wanted to follow up to let you know that your domain has been successfully redeemed and is active again on your account. If you head to https://wordpress.com/domains/manage , you’ll see the button that gives you the option to set your primary domain. From there, you can choose your custom domain that’ll display for visitors.
