  It won’t allow me to select a free domain name. How can I fix this?

  I already see a free site in your account, http://nikeria.design.blog/, created five minutes before you posted here.

  If you mean you wanted a free *.wordpress.com address, the free design.blog address you currently have works exactly the same as that one. If you still prefer to rather have a WordPress.com address, you can change your existing site’s address as explained here:
