  Hi,

  Someone on the French forum advise me to write my question here. I bought a Personal plan with the domain name assuratem.com but it was not the one I was supposed to use for the wordpress website. So I cancelled it and got it removed but cancelling my Plan, I received the confirmation of the cancellation and deletion and shall have the refund in 7days or so ; but it seems that the domain name is still not available to be bought on another platform such as OVH or Gandi.
  My client wanted to buy it directly on Gandi today because he had two free email adresses and now we seem to be blocked.

  I bought another Personal Plan with assuratemgroup.com for the WordPress website I’m building but I can’t wait 60 days for my client to buy the assuratem.com on his side.

  What can I do? Can you advise me? Will assuratem.com be available soon on other platforms as it has been deleted from wordpress and I don’t possess it anymore?

  Hi –

  Here’s what I can see.

  On April 24th we renewed assuratem.com. It was then cancelled from your account and a refund was issued.

  Then, on April 27th you bought a personal plan and registered a new domain, assuratemgroup.com.

  Let me know which domain you want to move forward with and we can get things sorted out.

  Hello,

  Thank you for getting back to me. I’d like to buy the assuratem.com from another platform such as Gandi or OVH (well to be exact my client wants to buy it on it’s own) and I’d like to keep the assuratemgroup.com for the Personal Plan. Is that possible? Since I got refund from assuratem.com can they buy it on their own now?

  Thanks for the details.
  Canceling a domain is never a good idea if you’re planning to use it, even with another registrar, it’s better to directly transfer it, although I understand that your client wanted to have it registered already and couldn’t wait for the 60-day transfer lock to expire.
  Since this was not a renewal but a new registration, the domain should be released within 5 days from the cancelation. After that time, your client should be able to purchase the domain elsewhere.

  Also, remember that with your plan you can access support directly via https://wordpress.com/help/contact. That way you can get help faster.
