i want to change my primary domain name and start all over….your instructions were confusing….

You must be logged in as Admin under the exact same username account in order to change the blog’s URL. Then you can use this guide http://en.support.wordpress.com/changing-blog-address/
That option will permanently disable the address and you will not be able to reuse it. Only select this option if you are sure you will not use the address again.
If you want to redirect traffic to the new blog, and retain and page rank the blog has or authority your have gained in the niche then you can keep the address and purchase the Site Redirect upgrade.

thank you for trying to help me…i am so frustrated..i followed the instruc (i think) and i was on the admin address and the dashboard…but no where did i see change url….then i went to general settings…no where there did i see anything about changing url….they are so confusing…do you see where it says ….dot org…in my url?….i don’t want that !!! I clicked on it as my name wasn’t available and they gave me a choice of …..org….I didn’t KNOW they would spell it out…i might be too dense to even have a blog…i am so disappointed….but, appreciate that you are trying to help me…do you know of any other blog sites that say things clearly….afterall…why would i click something that says…dot org…as an option…thank you again…

So what happened is that you clicked on the “My Blogs” that is under the WordPress logo drop-down menu in the upper left hand corner. You need to click on the “My Blogs” link under the “Dashboard” drop-down menu instead.
Does that make sense?
I will also see about making the instructions clearer.
