  Hi, I have bought a www address from Go Daddy. I have a charity website and wanted to create it using WordPress. I just wanted to know if I use the Free package and I transfer the domain name to you do I have to pay a fee or if I use the other option of keeping the domain name with go daddy then do I have to pay a fee to make it point to my WordPress site ? As I understand it I have to upgrade to a personal package at $4 a month…. is this correct ?

  Currently, we do require a paid plan to use custom domains here: https://wordpress.com/pricing/

  The lowest would be the Personal plan at $48/year.
