  Hi – I already have a domino name registered with Hover at the cost of $14.99 a year this is forwarded to my friends site who has been hosting it – I want to make my own site via WordPress – what do I have to do?

  Then, you can connect the domain to our hosting. There are two options for that process.
  – https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/
  – https://en.support.wordpress.com/incoming-domain-transfer/

  Just adding that the user appears to have asked a linked question at https://wordpress.com/forums/topic/i-am-trying-to-set-up-a-free-site-but-it-comes-up-as-3-min-payment/ regarding whether they will need an upgraded plan to transfer/map their domain.
