  Hello! I have an existing WordPress site for my org. I was making a personal site and accidentally created it under that account. I deleted it. Now making a separate site and I cannot use the domain I originally wanted. What to do?

  Hi there – What’s the URL you’re wanting to reuse? And are you wanting to reuse it on the account under username jcoballo?

  I have the same problem. I purchased a domain and cancelled it. Now I want to reuse it but I cannot. It’s said to have been mapped to a wordpress site.

  Please open your own support request at https://wordpress.com/help/contact, and include the domain you need help with.

  Cancelled domains are not released immediately, and it can take anything from a few days to over a year before a cancelled domain becomes available again, if at all. You should never cancel a domain that you still want to use, as there’s no guarantee that you’ll be able to use it again somewhere else in future.
