    Hi my name is Nicole and I recently purchased the domain name ‘asoulfulexplorer.com’ but after I purchased it with WordPress, I had to delete it because I was supposed to use Bluehost first and then WordPress. Now with Bluehost, I couldn’t use my domain name ‘asoulfulexplorer.com’ so I changed it to .net but this is technically my domain name, so if someone could please help me get my original domain name back I would appreciate it

    If you deleted the domain then you no longer own it. Usually domains that are deleted soon after creation are returned and become available for purchase (by anyone) elsewhere within a week. This thread has a modlook tag so a member of staff will reply to you here in due course.

    Hi there,

    You canceled the domain within 5 days of registering it, so it should be available again soon. Once a domain name is deleted by the registry at this stage, it is immediately available for registration by any registrant through any Registrar, and that happens shortly after the 5 day grace period.

    We can immediately restore the domain for you within that 5 day period, but after that, we no longer have control over it. So, depending on where you want to register the domain (with us or elsewhere), you should decide ASAP on how you want it re-registered. You can always point the domain over to your host from WordPress.com until 60 days of registration hits (where you can transfer the domain anywhere you please). That will at least guarantee you will get it back without any potential complications.

    However, you are not under the account where you initially purchased the domain subscription. You will need to log into that account and post in this thread in order for us to assist with the domain restoration. Let us know if you are interested in restoring the domain.
