  Is it an option to try out how it works to create a website on WordPress without having a domain name connected to it at first? I have a domain name but I don’t want to attach it to WordPress at this point.

  You can use the free WordPress service and set up a website on wordpress.com or you can work on your WordPress website locally first. You can create a local server on your computer using Wamp or Xamp:
