  Hi ~ Years ago, I had a free website via Microsoft. When they shutdown this service, my domain name, (email visible only to moderators and staff), was transferred to melbourneit.com.au. Is there a way to retrieve my domain name to be used at WordPress? Thanks!

  Hi there:

  If you purchased the domain kimilakay.com (which would allow you to have the email address (email visible only to moderators and staff)) from Microsoft, you should have some way to take ownership of it from the new company if they transferred it over properly.

  Once you gain control of the domain, you can use it on your WordPress site. If you need help there, we’ll be happy to assist.

  Otherwise, since the domain is registered and if you don’t have any way to claim ownership, there’s not much we can do here as someone else owns and controls that domain.
