Domain Name

domain name — I purchased walpolecornmaze.com when I was in one of my other blogs by mistake instead of starting a new blog. Since it mapped to that other site, I cancelled immediately. I now have walpolecornmaze.wordpress.com but want to change that to walpolecornmaze.com. But, I now have that tied up with the other purchase and cancellation. Can you release it now? Or will it automatically release in a day or so and then I can repurchase properly? Thank you, yours, RAY [redacted]

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Hi Ray – I’ve emailed our registrar to see if they can still restore it to your account and will let you know what I hear. If not, they usually release it in about five days, but that’s at their discretion and can vary. In future, we’re able to help you move your domain, so it’s better never to cancel it unless you don’t want to use it anymore.

    Good morning, and thank you,
Going to Domains on walpolecornmaze.com and trying to buy the .com I now get —

The domain walpolecornmaze.com has already been registered on WordPress.com. Please contact support if you would like to map this domain again.

so, what should I do now to “rebuy” and have this domain assigned here? Thanks, RAY

  • Hi Ray – Our registrar was able to restore it, so I’ve sent you a payment request for the cost. Once you’ve paid, please reply to this thread with the full URL of the blog you want the domain mapped to, and I’ll restore it for you. Thanks!
