Domain Name

  If I get my own domain name will my visitors till need to open an account or sign up for wordpress.com? Right now no one can enter my site without signing up for a wordpress account.

  Your blog’s privacy setting is currently set to “I would like my blog to be visible only to users I choose”. This means that anyone that wishes to read your blog must be added as a user by you in order to see your blog. This won’t change if you buy a domain name.

  If you want less restrictive privacy settings on your blog, you can change them via the Settings > Privacy page.
