  I have a new website http://hsaz001.homesmartagent.com/sites/rm497 but I want to use – greathomesbymteam.com to direct people to this new website. Do I go through you to do that?

  Nope. https://hsaz001.homesmartagent.com/ looks to be a completely separate setup compared to WordPress.com. You should contact them directly to find out if they provide support for custom domain mapping.

  Yes, it is a completely different setup, but I bought the domain name through wordpress.com….is there a way to direct traffic from that direction?
  I have also contacted our host for the HomeSmart website.

  If you bought the domain through WordPress.com, then you can use the domain manager to update the domain DNS. The first thing you need to do is find out if custom domain mapping is supported by the company where you setup your site and then if they do support custom domain mapping, find out what DNS settings they require you to update. There will be different instructions depending on what they ask you to update. For example, if they want you to add a CNAME record or an A record, you can do that using the Edit DNS page.   If they ask you to edit the root level A record, we don’t provide support for that and so it may be a bit more complicated. You should check with the company first to see if they support custom domain mapping and what DNS settings they need you to update.
