Domain Name

  I have been using WordPress for a couple of years now as my website –
  guyhousewrightphotography.com –
  I am switching to squarespace so i did not renew my wordpress subscription and now it seems that i cant register my domain name (guyhousewrightphotography.com) ANYWHERE. is there nothing i can do to keep my domain name as it is if i am switching to a different service?? can i continue using that domain name with another service or am i only able to use it with wordpress? any help would be appreciated. thanks!
