    domain name showing incorrectly
    I signed up for wordpress as a new account, at that time I also purchased a domain name (or I think I did) for $18 a year.
    However when it shows that my account was completely set up it displayed my blog like this: theshopgirlblogdotcom. I would like to know if it will show the way I thought it would like this: theshopgirlblog.com
    Why is my blog URL theshopgirlblogdotcom.wordpress.com, I thought that is what the $18 was for was to get rid of the .wordpress.com
    Please help

    Hi there!

    I just visited theshopgirlblog.com and was correctly directed to your WordPress.com website without the wordpress.com in the address.

    Domain changes usually take several hours to fully take effect (and theoretically can take up to 72 hours). I’d recommend checking back in a few more hours. You can also try clearing your browser’s cache and cookies. Instructions can be found here:
