domain name

It appears like I paid $99 for the domain: therightthingblog.com which is not the plan. It should have expired. I bought the new domain fivecultureslater.org to REPLACE therightthingblog.com domain. Very confusing :(

The blog URL should be fivecultureslater.org

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I attached fivecultureslater.org to your premium upgrade as requested.

Do you want me to cancel the therightthingblog.com domain?

Note that it can take up to several weeks for our domain registrar to release the domain, and we can’t guarantee that your domain will be available to you again once canceled.

If you want to keep using your domain but you don’t want to use WordPress.com anymore, you don’t have to cancel it. Instead, you can move the domain to another site, using the Domain Administration tool under Store > My Domains in your dashboard.

For more information on using the domain elsewhere, please see:

Thanks for your quick reply :)
The idea was, that intend of renewing the old domain, it would be exchanged, but with the understanding that I still will keep the articles that I wrote in the old domain.

Is that true? Will those articles “transfer” to the new domain?
Do I pay $26 each year to keep a domain? I thought you bought a domain and paid for it once.

All upgrades are per blog per year except premium themes.

You can let me know which domain you want to point to what blog and I’ll make sure it will work correctly without the need to transferring articles.

please point all blogs to fivecultureslater and leave therightthing blog alone for now.

Is there a way to “hide” therightthing blog? if so, show me so I know where to find it in the future.

    Thanks, Bert Rinkel

    one more question:
Do I pay for each domain name every year?

Do I pay for each domain name every year?

    Yes, that’s per year.

Currently both the domains fivecultureslater.org and therightthingblog.com point to the same blog, which is therightthingblog.wordpress.com

Is there a way to “hide” therightthing blog? if so, show me so I know where to find it in the future.

If you want to hide your site, you can use the following guide to make your site private so only you and other members of the site can view it when logged in:

ok, so I want fivecultureslater to be the blog to point at. How do I do that?
    Bert Rinkel

You only have one blog and it point to that one already. You can set the primary domain address at https://therightthingblog.wordpress.com/wp-admin/paid-upgrades.php?page=domains
