Domain name

    I would like a certain domain name, but it is taken. Although it has not been used since 2009. How do I go about requesting that name?

    You can do a whois lookup for the domain name to see if you can obtain the registrant’s contact information:

    http://who.is/

    If so, you may want to contact them to see if they are interested in selling it to you.

    Otherwise, you can try registering a similar, but not exact name, e.g., yourgroovydomain.net instead of yourgroovydomain.com.
