  I have recently set up a wordpress site called uinel.wordpress.com; however, after some thought I would like to change that domain name to something else, is there a way to achieve this without having to create an entire new site?

  Yep — there’s no need to create a new site! :-)

  You can change your web address by following these instructions:
  http://en.support.wordpress.com/changing-blog-address/

  While you’re at it, you might want to look into using a custom domain, like myblog.com:
