  Why can’t I cancel my domain registration? I just purchased a domain under wordpress: hoopingrhapsody.com assuming the url will display that way. It appears as “hoopingrhapsodydotcom.wordpress”. Therefore, I would like to cancel the domain registration.

  However, everytime I attempt to “Cancel and Refund” I get this message : You cannot cancel this domain because it was not registered with WordPress.com. Please contact support.

  All I want is to have hoopingrhapsody.com as my web blog address. But that is not what happened here.

  Otherwise, I would like a refund.

  Please advise accordingly and as soon as possible. Thank you.

  Hi there,

  When you register through WordPress.com with the custom domain, you receive both the *.wordpress.com blog address and the custom domain blog address. You can choose which one is displayed to your users by selecting the Primary Domain in your domain settings.

  It appears you’ve correctly adjusted your primary domain to hoopinrhapsody.com as that domain now appears for your site:
