I want to transfer my domain name from another host to wordpress. How can I do this.

It seems that you’ve already figured out how to add the Domain Mapping Upgrade to your WordPress.com site.
However, it looks like your domain is not pointing to WordPress.com name servers yet:

Please go to your domain registrar’s site and log into the control panel. You will need to update the name servers as below:
NS1.WORDPRESS.COM NS2.WORDPRESS.COM NS3.WORDPRESS.COM

Hope you can help. I sent a reply to the email you sent me about my upgrade. I couldn’t cancel it because I can’t find my blog flossyandfriends.co.uk. I have signed up with dream host with a new domain name flossyandfriends.com. What I would like is when people look for flossyandfriends.co.uk I’d like them to be directed to the new blog flossyandfriends.com. I’ve paid for domain mapping but haven’t used it yet as I don’t know how to.
I would really appreciate if this could all be sorted and I get a refund for the upgrade.

It appears that flossyandfriends.co.uk’s registration at Create Internet Ltd may have lapsed. Please contact this domain’s registrar to verify its status.
Since you no longer want to point flossyandfriends.co.uk to the content you’re hosting at flossyandfriends.wordpress.com, I’ve removed its Domain Mapping Upgrade.
After you re-gain control of flossyandfriends.co.uk at Create Internet Ltd, your registrar should be able to assist you in modifying the domain’s DNS to point towards the content you have hosted at flossyandfriends.com.

Flossyandfriends.co.uk was with create but I moved it to wordpress. However I then decided to have a word press site through dream host. I tried to redirect the .co.uk domain over but must have done something wrong. Think I put the wrong DNS in the wrong place because now I can’t find it. So in the mean time I bought flossyandfriends.com. but I really need to direct the .co.uk domain to the same site as the .com as it is my business.

The domains you are referencing, as well as the site you have hosted at DreamHost, are not maintained by or affiliated with WordPress.com.
You will need to contact your domain’s registrar and DreamHost in order to resolve this issue.

I registered flossyandfriends.co.uk with yourselves and you were tthe last place this domain was registered too. I did try to transfer it over to dream host but I’ve obviously done something wrong because now I can’t find it any where. so when I look for flossyandfriends.co.uk it says site can not be found. I don’t know how to get the domain back up and running. I want to keep it with yourselves now. If you can I would really appreciate it if you could some how point this domain at yourselves once again.

I have been having a lot of problems trying to direct the domain names I own to a word press site. This is mainly due to me being such a novice I think I have done it wrong. However I now have flossyandfriends.com with wordpress. What I want to do is get the domain flossyandfriends.co.uk directed to the same site. I’ve tried to map this domain to this site however it says it’s already pointed at a Word press site but when I type flossyandfriends.co.uk in to the search it says it’s not found. Please can you help this has been on going for a few days now. -

Please allow up to 48 hours for DNS changes to take effect. After this time has elapsed, both flossyandfriends.co.uk and flossyandfriends.com will direct visitors to the content hosted at flossyandfriendsdotcom1.wordpress.com.

Hi, it’s been more than 48 hours and flossyandfriends.co.uk is still not working. When put into the search engine it’s say it can’t be found.

There was an A record set for flossyandfriends.co.uk that was pointing your domain away from WordPress.com. I’ve removed it.
Please clear your browser’s cache and cookies before you attempt to load flossyandfriends.co.uk again:
