Domain name

Hi,
A few days ago, I started setting up a website – chanarobertswrites.wordpress.com. I wasn’t sure I was ready to drop the .wordpress, and I wasn’t sure I liked the domain name (plus, I got cold feet) – so I deleted the site. I had no content on it yet.
Now, I asked a couple of people and decided that I do want to go with that domain name, or at least, take it and keep it as an option for a future site. But when I type in the name, I get ‘Sorry, that site already exists!’ However, when I try to visit the site, it says that it has been deleted by the authors. I’d rather not think that someone else is using my name and idea…
How do I get that domain name back?

Unfortunately, that website name can’t be reused, even though you were the one who originally created and deleted it. Nobody else can use it either. It’s the policy of WordPress.com not to allow site names to be reused: https://en.support.wordpress.com/recycling-blog-names/
