  Is there a way I can change the name scienceandsabermetrics .com to jaytalwalkar.com ?

  I cant seem to be able to do this

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  You will need Staff to remove the existing domain and then you will need to map to the new one. I typed modlook into the sidebar tags on this thread for Staff help.   You cannot change the domain from one to another. You can register a new domain for your WordPress.com site and cancel (or just not use) the old one.

  I tried to register for a new domain using jaytalwalkar.com and it said that it is already being used (for the existing account, I believe)

  Also, I was not able to cancel the scienceandsabermetrics.com account despite trying multiple times

  Howdy,

  I tried to register for a new domain using jaytalwalkar.com and it said that it is already being used (for the existing account, I believe)

  The domain “jaytalwalkar.com” is already registered.

  If you registered this domain, you can use it with WordPress.com by following this guide: https://en.support.wordpress.com/map-existing-domain/

  However if you are not the current owner of the domain, you will be unable to use it.

  Are you trying to cancel the “scienceandsabermetrics.com” domain or delete your site “jaytalwalkar.wordpress.com”?

  I was the one who registered the “jaytalwalkar.com” domain

  What I would like to do is rename the scienceandsabermetrics.com to jaytalwalkar.com

  If I can do that (or cancel the scienceandsabermetrics.com site and replace it with jaytalwalkar.com) that would be great

  Then I would delete the jaytalwalkar.wordpress.com site

  I may not be understanding all of this properly so any further advice you can provide would be most welcome

  What I would like to do is rename the scienceandsabermetrics.com to jaytalwalkar.com

  To do this you will need to do the following in order:

  1. Map “jaytalwalker.com” to you site by following https://en.support.wordpress.com/map-existing-domain/
  2. Once the mapping is complete, make it your primary domain by following https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/#setting-the-primary-domain

  Then I would delete the jaytalwalkar.wordpress.com site

  Do you mean remove the content for a fresh start, or actually delete the site?

  Well, it turns out I want to work through BlueHost but I cannot do this unless the site is deleted. Bluehost will not let me use jaytalwalkar.com since it is attached to an active site

  Can this be done ?

  Hi,

  I can see that you’ve already mapped the domain jaytalwalkar.com to your WordPress.com site. If you want the domain to load your site properly, you need to add the WordPress.com nameservers to the domain. The WordPress.com nameservers are:

  NS1.WORDPRESS.COM
  NS2.WORDPRESS.COM
  NS3.WORDPRESS.COM

  You can request your domain registrar’s (Bluehost) assistance in adding these to your domain. When they are added, within 72 hours the domain will start loading your WordPress.com site.

  You may also copy this message and send it to Bluehost and they’ll know to add the WordPress.com nameservers to your domain.
