  I purchased a new domain name and it still will not change my blog to that domain. i do not want a wordpress extension and when i continuously go to manage my blog, it still comes up as my old name, yet my new domain website with my old domain on the page. please help me.

  When managing your blog through your dashboard, you still need to use the WordPress.com blog address as there isn’t a way to have a dashboard URL with your custom domain.

  However, as you’ve already mentioned, your visitors won’t see your WordPress.com blog address.
