domain name and ads
-
Hi there, I purchased a domain name for $26 (so now it’s katrinpark.com, instead of katrinpark.wordpress.com) but I’m still seeing advertisements on my pages. Is it supposed to be like that? And if so, what’s the point of paying for a domain name?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

To support the service (and keep free features free), we sometimes run advertisements, and the agreement for this has been in our terms of service since 2006.
The purchase of a domain only pays for the domain registration itself, likewise your Custom Design upgrade pays for the font licensing. Only the ads and No Ads Upgrade pay for the service costs, like hosting, hardware, bandwidth, personnel, etc.
If you would like to completely eliminate ads from appearing on your blog, we offer the No Ads Upgrade: http://store.wordpress.com/premium-upgrades/ad-free/
We also offer two bundle upgrades which include No Ads, Domain, and Custom Design, amongst others: http://store.wordpress.com/bundles/
