domain name and importing & using domain if not cancel

    I tried to create a site. I know I typed in pistol hair but its displaying pistol har. I already own a domain called pistolhair.com I want to purchase and build a wordpress site but I’m confused on what the difference between blog/site is. I already own 2 other business that have wordpress sites but they were built for me but I admin them. So I want to cancel this pistolhar, because its incorrect.

    The difference between a blog and a site is mostly semantic. Blogs display posts in reverse chronological order. “Sites” tend to be made of static web pages.

    If you want to use pistolhair.com on a WordPress.com blog it’s going to be easy and cost $13 a year, but first you have to have a Wp.com blog to map it to. Might as well use http://pistolhar.wordpress.com/.

    If you really want to get rid of it, you can delete it from the Tools page of the dashboard.’

    Then I can see that http://pistolhair.wordpress.com/ is reserved for you. I’ll flag this so staff can get it set up and give you access to it.

    Note that the site title (blog name) and blog address URL do not have to be the same when you are domain mapping.

    You cannot edit any URL. If you want to change the blog address ie. the URL starting with http:// then you must be logged in as Admin under the exact same username account that registered the blog to do that and the URL you desire must be available. If so then you can change the URL by using this guide http://en.support.wordpress.com/changing-blog-address/
