  I want to try building my website on WordPress BEFORE committing to transferring my domain name from my current host (Hostmonster). How can I do that?

  Hi @deutschethan, no problem. You’re welcome to stage your new site with us before pointing the domain here. That way your current site can stay “live” until your new one is ready.

  Start by creating your site with the plan of your choice:
  https://wordpress.com/plans

  https://en.support.wordpress.com/five-step-website-setup/

  And then just avoid using the domain options until you’re ready. Then you can either transfer the domain or map it to our servers.

  Noting you may need a domain to add plugins and themes to our Business plan, but if you need help with that, you can get in touch via chat support and our team will help you through.
