Domain Name and Web Hosting

  Hello, I’m a bit confused as to how this all works. My question is….If I buy a domain name through WP, do I get the hosting for free or is there a separate hosting fee?

  You already have hosting for free here.

  Each upgrade at WP.com applies only exactly to what it says. A custom domain gets you a custom domain. It doesn’t change your hosting, the terms of service, what kind of code you can use, whether you can have ads, or anything like that.
