Domain name appearance issue?
-
The domain name appears as SmallGovReportdotcom.wordpress.com. Why is this? Is this a problem? Could this affect the appearance of our website name? I attempted to buy the domain name from godaddy.com after, and it said that the site was unavailable, which is comforting. However, I am not sure if I did this correctly. Also, when we were signing up, it said that a .com domain name would cost $18, however we were not ever charged the 18 dollars, it just went straight to the $99. Is everything okay? or do we need to make some changes during this 48 hour period after purchasing? We want the domain name to be and appear as “SmallGovReport.com”.
Thank you.

Hello there!
It appears as if you purchased the Premium upgrade, rather than solely the domain name. You are welcome to keep the Premium upgrade, if you wish, or you can opt to keep only the domain registration. If you choose the latter, I can refund you the difference between the domain registration and Premium upgrade.
Here’s information about the upgrade you purchased:

Your custom domain name is indeed SmallGovReport.com. You can view your upgrades here:

If you’re not clear about why your WordPress.com site is called smallgovreportdotcom.wordpress.com and your custom domain is smallgovreport.com, this link might clear up the issue:
I hope this helps! If I can answer any other questions, let me know. Take care.
