  Is there a way to check WordPress domain names before owning it?
  The only way seems to be entering searches and the site says already created or creates it for you.
  The issue is that my top options are all reserved therefore I am checking additional options to consider. *If one is available it automatically creates the blog which I then have to go and delete.
  I’m sure this causes a problem down the line as I believe I read admin can’t restore deleted blogs.. really it’s about not wanting to kill a blog name someone else wishes to use if I’ve had to go through this process of deleting them..

  If you are wanting to check on SomethingorotheR.wordpress.com you could just type it in the address bar and see what comes up. If you are wondering about a custom domain name like SomethingorotheR,com you could use a domain lookup tool like https://whois.net/

  When one is domain mapping to a custom domain it does not matter what the underlying .wordpress.com blog URL is. It does not have to match the domain name so do be clear on that.
