Domain name cancellation problem
-
Hello,
I created a new website using Wix and cancelled my WordPress website. I thought that if I released my domain name (cpwsole.com) on WordPress, I would be able to register it to my new Wix website.
I’m finding out that I should have transferred it and not cancelled it. Unfortunately, it doesn’t appear that I can undo this mistake.
Currently, Wix says my domain is cpwsole.com but that it is not connected. The error info says, “The nameservers at your domain provider were not updated correctly.
Review the step-by-step instructions and try again.”The instructions say:
“OK, now let’s setup the connection at your domain provider.
Log in to your domain provider’s website and update the Name Server settings for cpwsole.com to:
– ns2.wixdns.net
– ns3.wixdns.net”However, I cannot update the Name Server on WordPress because I cancelled my site.
I’m completely at a loss and don’t know what else to try. All I want is for my new Wix website to have the domain name I had cancelled through WordPress. Any help would be much appreciated!

Hi, you actually cancelled your domain, returning it to the registrar. We can’t control the settings when it’s not under your account.
I think we may still be able to get it back, though. We’re reaching out to the registrar and will let you know when we hear back.

Hello,
Thank you for reaching out. I spent many hours attempting to solve this issue, and finally threw in the towel. I decided to make it easy on myself and change my website’s domain name.
In short, nevermind. Thank you for trying, though!
Best,

I’ve already reached out to the registrar. Do you want me to reach out again and tell them you don’t want the domain after all?
Also, you would need to pay for renewal, as it looks like the domain had expired as well.
