Domain name cancelled

    I purchased the above domain name on WordPress, but later decided I wanted to use the domain on Hostinger (as I can’t figure out how to use the WordPress customizer).

    Hostinger customer support told me that the domain is still active, so I can’t use it on their site (and that I should get in touch with WordPress). The WordPress site tells me the domain name is expired and that I can claim it again by contacting support. I was wondering
    (a) when will this domain be available to purchase again? Hostinger have told me that the domain is active until 26th December 2022, but I’m hoping this should change due to me canceling the order.
    (b) Is there any way I can use this domain on Hostinger?

    If you cancelled your domain within 96 hours of registering it then it should come available to purchase elsewhere within a week

    However most Hostinger plans appear to use the (more complicated) wordpress.org software for site building so I’m not sure that building a site there will be much easier than here (where you would have access to staff support).

    Ok great, thank you.

    I guess that’s a valid point, but due to my incompetence I’m just trying to follow a tutorial for setting up my site. All the tutorials seem to use Hostinger or GoDaddy (and they’re cheaper anyway!).
