domain name cannot be registered

  Want to open a site by the name (email visible only to moderators and staff) but when i do the same i get an error….

  Did you mean to visit any of these blogs, instead of portea.wordpress.com?

  The address portea.wordpress.com cannot be registered. Sorry, that site is reserved! But you can sign up and choose another one.

  it may happen that we may have created the account long back…
  kindly let know the procedure for the same, i need to have a site by the name (email visible only to moderators and staff)

  When we register a username account the matching blog is reserved for our future use. It cannot be obtained by anyone other than the person who has registered the matching username account.

  If you own the username account then you can log out, clear your browser cache and cookies and then log in as Admin under the correct matching username account and register the blog. http://en.support.wordpress.com/register-a-blog/ If you don’t own that username account then you cannot register the reserved blog.
